1966 Buick Convertible Barn Find Rescue, Part 1
This is the story of a '66 Buick Special convertible that had been
abandoned in Arizona in 1978 by the family of Rick Pewe, editor of 4-Wheel
& Off-Road magazine. In 2011, the guys from HOT ROD Magazine, in
conjunction with Rick, spent four days bringing the car back from the dead
with plans to drive it home from Phoenix to Los Angeles. This is part 1,
with the hacking fun the guys had rescuing the car. Look for part two,
loaded with road-trip hilarity. The story is printed in the September 2011
issue of HOT ROD Magazine.

1972 Buick Skylark
Here's an amazing survivor Skylark! It has a great running original 350ci
V8 and turbo 350 automatic transmission,
power steering, power disc brakes, factory air conditioning, and upgraded
dual Flowmaster Exhaust! Everything
under the hood is stock! It does have a new battery and new points though!
The interior is all original except the carpet has been replaced at some
point, and the dashboard remains unmolested and in complete working order.
All the lights, wipers, signals, and the blower are working great, it has
nice glossy green paint, and very nice glass. It has the original 14 inch
Buick wheels with 215/70/14 Firestone raised letter tires, and it is
believed to have only 81k miles on the car! This is a fantastic car that is
ready to be restored a little more!

This sleek '58 Impala convertible captures the glamour of the era and wraps
it around a stout Tri-Power 348 backed by a trusty Powerglide. Full of
desirable options like power steering, Positraction, a continental kit and
even the rare vacuum ashtray, all the right boxes are checked for a great
long-term investment. Driven just one mile since the completion of its 2012
frame off restoration, this convertible is poised to collect trophies and
carry you down the back roads with the grace of a Hollywood starlet.
The GM sheet metal is remarkably straight and, given this car is nearly the
size of a standard parking space, that's no small consideration. Panel
fitment is significantly better than stock with measured gaps surrounding
even the biggest pieces. A fresh coat of Rio Red paint coats those panels,
offering a bright alternative to the more common black and white cars. The
paintwork is beyond reproach with clean reflections visible from all
Lift the hood on this sleek convertible and a date-code correct 348cid V8
comes into view. Dressed in a fresh coat of orange paint, the block wears a
all the correct numbers includeing a 3751872 casting and July 25, 1958 date
code. Topped off by the legendary Tri-Power setup consisting of three
two-barrel carburetors under a glossy dual-snorkel air cleaner cover, this
was a performer for its day. Full of correct details like the glass
winshield washer fluid bottle and yellow-cap Delco battery, this is a bay
you can be proud to show.
Underneath the car, the high-quality restoration extends to a freshly
painted satin black X-frame and rock solid floors dressed in correct red
oxide. All hardware is new and all lines are fresh, adding up to an ultra
clean presentation. In the center, a two-speed Powerglide transmission
handles shifting before transferring power to a GM corporate rear through a
painted two-piece driveshaft. Around the drivetrain, the revised suspension
rides on coil springs all around, aided by new shocks.
Slide into the driver seat and a beautifully appointed interior comes into
view. Chevrolet had some of the best interiors of the late 50s and this '58
picks up just where its tri-five predecessors left off. The seats are
wrapped in attractive red, silver and black tri-color vinyl while details
like the chrome tissue box and rare vacuum ashtray offer plenty of
conversation starters. Behind the rear seat, a tidy trunk looks showroom
new thanks to a correct rubber floormat.
It's hard to deny the presence of any '58 Impala convertible but the
combination of a well-done restoration, Tri-Power 348, Powerglide automatic
and thoughtful options makes this example stand out from the crowd.
Regardless if you grew up during the fifties or simply feel drawn to the
era, this iconic convertible is a time machine that you can feel
comfortable investing in. Call, click or visit

1967 Buick Skylark Convertible
I thought you'd like a look at this very nice 1967 Buick Skylark
Convertible. It's not a show car or anything, but it is a nice looking
driver. It's still powered by it's original, numbers matching V8 and
automatic trans. The exterior has been repainted and they've installed a
new convertible top. It really is a nice solid car. A little painting
under the hood and it would be really sharp. I hope you find interesting,
thanks for watching!
