What happens when you take a 1997 Vortech 7.4 liter engine, mate it to a turbo 400 trans, give it a first-rate
restoration and top it with one of the most electrifying colors ever to hit
the streets? You get this striking 1970 Chevelle SS Clone! This incredible
Chevelle provides you with the exclusive opportunity to own a car that
looks, drives and draws a crowd just as well as any numbers matching SS for
about HALF the price. It's ready to tear up the roads and dominate the show
circuit as soon as you turn the key.
With fresh paint in Electric Blue (Neon SRT) with White SS stripes, this
Chevelle looks mean, and sounds positively evil! This California car has
been stored in a temperature controlled shop since the restoration. The
chrome is blinding. This car is laser straight, with beautiful body lines,
clean door and trunk lips and original rockers. You can still see the spot
welds in the rockers, and the pinch welds are rust free. This car looks
like a million bucks from every angle! The stares haven't stopped and the
jaws continue to drop.
Open the hood on this electric Chevelle and you will find a 1997 Vortech
7.4 liter engine (completely stock) with custom built wiring harness and
fully laptop programmable computer. The engine bay has been detailed to a
very high level. A custom polished intake manifold and valve covers,
ceramic coated headers, MSD ignition wires, K&N filter, and an aluminum
radiator with auxiliary transmission and oil coolers were included in the
restoration. Front disc brakes and rear drum brakes with hydraulic power
assist keep this Chevelle between the lines.
Underneath the car, you'll find a factory fresh chassis and floorpans that,
like the cars exterior panels and engine bay, have been restored to the
absolute highest standards. The undercarriage has been painted, there is
nothing wrong with the floorboards, the frame members are beautiful and
look new. A top notch turbo 400
automatic transmission with an extra deep B&M pan sends power to a 12 bolt
posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gear. Exhaust is handled by a 2.5" Exhaust system and 40 series Flowmaster
mufflers. Fresh fuel lines, and a new oil cooler were also included in the
restoration. Connecting this awesome Chevelle to the pavement is four new
Goodyear G Force tires that are mounted around 17 inch Cragar wheels.
Check out the new interior! The new white bucket seats and door panels
provide an excellent contrast against the blue exterior paint. The solid
floors were covered with new black carpets and "Chevelle" stitched floor
mats. Overhead is a tight-fitting red headliner, and beside the seats, a
pristine console houses a traditional horseshoe style automatic shifter. In
front of the driver, a straight SS style dash houses a black instrument
panel with crystal clear gauges and tach above a factory correct AM radio
and chrome trimmed vents for the cars heater/defroster. Behind the cockpit,
a clean and solid trunk features correct spatter paint.
Documented, numbers matching Chevelle SSs are excellent collector cars. But
why pay upwards of $125K for 'man cave' decoration when you can own the
road in this fire-breathing tribute for half the price? It looks just as
good, features the same first rate restoration, and with its Vortech 7.4
liter engine, it has the same killer street credentials as any original top
dog. When we say run, don't walk to pick up the phone on this one, we say
it with good authority. If you're in the market for a spectacular Chevelle
SS to throw your weight around with on the street and at the shows, this is
your car! Call today! 7 days a week 248-974-9513 Tom
1973 Chevrolet Chevelle: Bank Robber's Special -- /BIG MUSCLE
For its season finale BIG MUSCLE heads to the mean streets of Trenton, NJ
to meet up with Sean Rich and his road warrior style 1973 Chevrolet
Chevelle. This particular car was constructed with the idea that if one
needed a getaway vehicle for which to rob a bank in, well then... this
would be the perfect candidate. This is not some big dollar, no holds
barred super car, but a ride built by its owner for the purpose of putting
a smile on his face every time the key was turned.

American Aston Martin? '66 Malibu: /BIG MUSCLE
• ENZO MORALES
A long wheelbase, v8 or v12 power, front engine/rear drive configuration,
and a sport-tuned suspension with four comfy seats inside. That ladies and
gentlemen is the recipe for any good grand touring car. Modern automobiles
like the Mercedes-Benz CL63, BMW M6 and the Bentley Continental GT are
perfect examples of this. How about a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu though
- what about that? When released in 1966, this 2nd generation Chevelle was
nothing more than a mid-priced, nicely appointed people mover with some
decent styling. However now, some 47 years later, owner Enzo Morales has
transformed this particular car into a jaw-dropping, hardcore styled road
burner that is just as happy running the super-slab at triple digits as it
is carving up your favorite back road.

A lot of cars pass through our doors here at RK Motors Charlotte, but some
cars just have an intangible something that makes us fall in love. They're
all nice cars, of course, but some just have a little extra something that
makes all of us look at each other and say, "Yeah, I'd totally take that
one home." It happens instantly, too—great cars make great first
impressions. This Chevelle is absolutely a great car.
Recently restored, this a spectacularly well-built machine that is highly
correct and beautifully finished. Using Hugger Orange paint with correct
black SS stripes, it certainly looks the part of a street predator,
especially with the fully functional cowl induction hood. Look at the
smoothness of the paint on the body, the alignment of the panels, and now
neatly everything fits together—this is a car someone spent way too much
time building. The two-stage paint is deep and vivid and I always like to
see the stripes buried under the clear, which is not correct but you can't
argue with how slick it looks. Lots of buffing and rubbing makes the finish
look like it's still wet, and few will disagree that this is one beautiful
The engine is a real LS5, which in 1970 was making 360 horsepower—plenty stout in
the relatively light Chevelle. The block has been properly finished in
Chevy Orange that glows from down deep in the engine bay. Correct chrome
valve covers always identify the big horsepower Chevys, and a
proper cowl induction air cleaner has been installed with correct 360 horsepower decals.
The only significant variation from stock is a set of satin black long-tube
headers, which blend in and vanish in the engine bay. Everything works as
it should, and the engine fires up and runs as well as any big block Chevy
we've ever featured. Forget scary solid lifter ticking, this one idles as
smoothly as a Rolex.
The chassis is every bit as clean as you would expect, with solid,
unmolested floors, brightly plated hardware, and correct components
throughout. The transmission is a Muncie M21 4-speed driving a correct
12-bolt rear with 3.73 gears on a Posi limited slip. The Exhaust system is obviously a big upgrade over
stock, with large diameter pipes, a crossover, and a set of great sounding
mufflers from Pypes. The basics have been covered as well, with new shocks,
rebuilt brakes, and a fresh gas tank hanging out back. For your Chevelle,
the only set of wheels you want are factory SS items, and on this car they
wear BFGoodrich T/A radials.
This car has been upgraded with a black bucket seat interior in place of
the original bench, and they thoughtfully included a center console, which
is a highly desirable option. The seats and seat covers are obviously new,
as are the carpets and headliner. Proper SS door panels have been installed
to match, and the dash is full of correct SS gauges in round pods. A
classic Hurst shifter has been added, complete with white cue ball knob,
and the console has been restored to new condition. Like the rest of the
car, the interior is correctly and thoroughly detailed, and remains in
excellent condition with only 82 miles since the build was finished. In the
trunk you'll find a full-sized spare and a complete jack assembly.
Cars like this fly out the door as quickly as we can find them because
there are an awful lot of guys out there who aren't necessarily looking for
a numbers-matching trailer queen. Instead, this is an extremely well built
car that is correct in almost every way and runs better than any other LS5
we've seen. Fortunately, what this means for you is that you get a large
discount on a car that is, for all intents and purposes, identical to those
that the investors buy and stash away in their garages. Drive it, show it,
enjoy it, this is a car that will be vastly more fun than its more
expensive siblings without all the worry. Call today!
