My Dodge Dakota New Paint Job & Performance Upgrades
I know I havent done a truck video in awhile as been a busy years racing
and upgrading parts on the truck here is a video showing the changes I have
made. In April / May I had upgrated the top end of the engine with new
heads, intake, throttle body and bigger headers, later in the summer it got
some fresh paint.

background noise... It is cicada season (bugs that come out in swarms every
17 years) and I live near the CLT airport.
Jerry Rosanes 2000 Dakota R/T 408 Stroker
Has KRC performance parts, 408 stroker which I built . 2.08 KRC race heads
bee hive springs. KRC 408X cam, F&B 55 MM Throtle bodie, MSD Fast system
computer. Also these are test n tune runs just installed system this is the
2nd pull. has a full 4 link rear end I made a custom back half, 20 gal
fuel cell under truck. q1a coilovers in back 2" coils with a 3" drop
buckets on the A arms in front. Has Sintech mufflers and the five lug
Dodge Viper wheels from the car not the SRT-10 truck . 13.5" wide in back
10" wide front 255/45 18 frt 345/35/19 back. the truck put down 380 rwhp
and 491 ft lbs torque. it lost nearly 100 hp from the motor to the wheels.
Trannys fairly built transco stage 2 shift kit kevlar clutches and has a
pdq 2600 stall convertor. Full return fuel system 2000 areamotive fuel

me try Eric's suggestion. Turns out, mine had one other problem completely
stopping the heater from working all together.

We put seafoam in a 2001 Dodge Dakota V6 146,000 miles had a bank 1 misfire
and just would never run right. Now the truck runs GREAT! Engine light went
off and has a smooth idle now. Also shows the compete way to use seafoam

Dodge Dakota Coolant Leak Repair - Including Bypass Hose, Thermostat, Water Pump, etc.
To get to what turned out to be a Thermostat leak we had to remove the
The Serpentine belt, the fan, the Air Conditioning Compressor, the
Alternator and the A/C and Alternator Bracket.
This way you can easily access the bypass hose, the thermostat housing, and
the upper heater hose (or otherwise called the heater to engine hose).
This also gives you free access to the water pump if you were going to
replace it. This is actually the easiest way to access the water pump as
opposed to the way the service manual describes removing it (without
removing the A/C and Alternator bracket).
However, after doing the job we discovered a second leak on the lower
heater hose (or the heater to water pump return hose). Which also needed
to be corrected.
