Of course the e stands for equivalent which means that the CrossBlue has both a diesel and an electric power plant. In other words the CrossBlue is can run on electricity alone or on both the battery and the diesel engine to deliver outstanding fuel economy. Will VW build the CrossBlue? Chances are very good as Volkswagen doesn't have a 7 seven passenger SUV in the American market and it wants to compete across all different sized platforms.

We got our hands on a pre-production model just this weekend and took it for a ride. We were blown away by the acceleration and responsiveness in braking and handling. A major style upgrade inside and out with the Q50 sports package brings 19" sport wheels, and an aggressive front fascia. The interior is more of a command center. Voice activated nav and audio system, intuitive controls, and not one, but two touch screens, Beautiful accents and lines appointed with high quality leather, real maple wood, and kacchu aluminum provide a full-scale luxury environment. The state-of-the-art 14 speaker Bose STUDIO ON WHEELS allows you to enjoy your music through streaming apps like Pandora and iHeartRadio, Bluetooth via mobile device, CD, XM/Sirius, and AM/FM. Infiniti's direct response steering gives you customization of your handling and provides a more consistent feel no matter what surface you encounter. Paul Allen took us out on Route 83 and the Q50 practically drove itself: Lane Keep Assist kept the Q50 in straight line making adjustments via steer-by-wire technology and a camera mounted in the rear-view mirror. Dynamic Cruise Control and Collision Intervention actually accelerated the car to our comfortable cruising speed and brought us to a safe stop while his hands and feet were off the pedals and wheel. We don't encourage you to try this type of driving, but if you're ever caught with your eyes off the road, this technology has your back. Wow, we really had a lot of fun in this car and we were sad to see it go as it tours the country until the official launch of the Q50.
