2011 Mustang 5.0 vs 2011 Camaro SS 1/4 Mile
5.0 Coyote V8 Stang Quarter mile time: 14.19 @ 103.30 mph vs 6.2L SS LS3 L99 V8 Quarter mile time: 15.50 @ 97.40 FORD Mustang Mustang has Vossen Rims : VVSCV1 Engines were revised for 2011, and transmission options included the Getrag-Ford MT82 6-speed manual or the 6R80 6-speed automatic based on the ZF 6HP26 transmission licensed for production by Ford. Electric power steering replaced the conventional hydraulic version. GT models included a 32-valve 5.0 L engine (302.13 cu. in.) producing 412 hp and 390 ft-lbs of torque. Brembo brakes are optional along with 19-inch wheels and performance tires. Starting in late 2010 (for the 2011 model year), the Mustang GT's engine was an all-aluminum 32-valve 5.0 L DOHC V8, codenamed Coyote. The 2011 Mustang GT marked the engine's first use in any production Ford. While the new engine's displacement was similar to Ford's original "5.0" 4.9 L (302 cu in) V8, it was an unrelated design and instead shared more in common with the 4.6 L V8 and other Modular engines that it replaced. The new 5.0 used a DOHC head design like other Modular engines and even shared its bore spacing and deck height with the outgoing 4.6 L V8. Differing the new engine from earlier Modular engines, among other features, was its use of wider bore diameters (and a longer stroke relative to the 4.6 L V8 in particular), to allow the use of larger valves, and camshaft torque-actuated Twin-independent Variable Cam Timing (Ti-VCT). The new 5.0 incorporates piston cooling oil jets that helped warm the engine faster and keep the engine running cooler under load. Racing style tubular headers replaced the standard cast iron headers. Coolant and oil flow patterns were optimized for proper flow when under high lateral forces, such as those experienced when on a road course track. Getrag/Ford MT82 6-speed manual transmission and Ford's 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission. The 6-speed manual transmission came with a 3.31:1 rear axle while 6-speed automatics get a taller 3.15:1 rear axle. Combined with its new, more efficient V8, the new 6-speed transmissions contributed to an improvement in fuel economy in the 2011 Mustang GT over its counterpart from the 2010 model year. As certified by the EPA, manual transmission models were able to achieve 17 mpg-US (14 L/100 km; 20 mpg-imp) in city and 26 mpg-US (9.0 L/100 km; 31 mpg-imp) on the highway while automatic transmission models were able to achieve 18 mpg-US (13 L/100 km; 22 mpg-imp) in city and 25 mpg-US (9.4 L/100 km; 30 mpg-imp) on the highway. Other, new features exclusive to the 2011 Mustang GT included "5.0" fender badges replacing the "GT" badges used previously, an optional Brembo Brake Package includes 14 inch Brembo front disk brakes taken from the Shelby GT500, unique 19-inch wheels with Pirelli P-Zero ultra high performance summer only tires, a unique calibration of the Advanced Track stability system including a "sport" mode, and suspension enhancements such as stiffer springs (less aggressive than the BOSS 302 and Shelby models but more so than the regular GT models) and various other suspension enhancements. Received a front strut tower brace, stiffened crossmembers, and other enhancements resulting in a 12% increase in structural rigidity compared to 2010 Mustang GT convertibles. Camaro SS Following the development of the Zeta architecture and because of its position as the GM global center of RWD development, GM Holden in Australia led the final design, engineering, and development of the Camaro. Production of the coupé began on March 16, 2009, in LS, LT, and SS trim levels. LS and LT models are powered by a 3.6 L (220 cu in) V6 producing 312 hp (233 kW) for the 2010 & 2011 model mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic with manual shift. The SS is powered by the 6.2 L (376 cu in) LS3 V8 producing 426 hp (318 kW) and is paired with a 6-speed manual. The automatic SS gets the L99 V8 with 400 hp (300 kW). The RS appearance package is available on both the LT and SS and features 20-inch wheels with a darker gray tone, halo rings around xenon headlamps, a unique spoiler, and red RS or SS badges. Other features include a fully independent four-wheel suspension system, variable-rate power steering, four-wheel disc brake systems standard on all models (four-piston Brembo calipers on SS models), a StabiliTrak electronic stability/traction control system, Competitive/Sport modes for the stability system offered on SS models, launch control on SS models equipped with the six-speed manual transmission. 2012 Mustang 5.0 Longtube Headers
A friend's 2012 Mustang GT with BBK long tube headers, Magnaflow 3 inch off road x-pipe, resonator deletes and SLP loudmouth muffler deletes. There is no restriction on the Exhaust whatsoever therefore, it's loud as fuck. All Exhaust work was done at Pronto muffler shop in Laredo TX. This is no doubt the loudest Mustang I've heard. Mod list: RTR chin spoiler, GT500 rear valence, roush side skirts, 19 inch AMR charcoal wheels. GT500 rear wing, 6000k hid headlights/fogs, airaid cold air intake, Exhaust(posted above), SR lowering springs, tinted brake lights and Bama tuned.

Fastlane tears down the 2011 Ford 5.0L Mustang Motor
So we got one of the first 2011 5.0L crate motors from Ford Performance, so naturally we took it apart to see how it's made. you can tell Ford is feeling the pressure from GM's LS motors in the Camaro as this motor is a pretty big departure from the previous 4.6L and looks as though Ford really put some thought into building this one. Piston oil squirters, beefier rods, captured rollers & channeled bearings are just a few of the old school style performance tweaks with this new motor. Check out the video for more.

2011 Mustang V6 3.7L BBK Long Tube Headers and Off Road X-Pipe
Just installed the BBK Long Tube Headers and BBK Off Road X-Pipe. These are the mods that I had before the install: C&L Cold Air Intake, Bama 93 Custom Tune, Roush Axle Back Exhaust. The install is very easy however the only issue I came across was the fact that BBK sent me the wrong O2 Sensor Extensions. They told me that no one makes them yet and I also found in the forums people that were complaining about the same thing. The fix they suggested was to solder an extension that is exactly what I did and it worked perfectly. This setup is EXTREMELY loud and I think the Roush has alot to do with it. It was already a little drony at 3000RPM before the LTs and now its even more. I am going to get a Dyno with this setup and then im going to slap on the stock Exhaust to see how it sounds. I will post videos for those 2 things for sure. I also just received the Bama Custom Tune that took the long tube headers into account and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Highly recommend BBK and OR X-Pipe with the Bama Tune by American Muscle...

2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 vs 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition! - Head 2 Head Ep. 52
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman travels to Barber Motorsports Park for a head to head matchup with the brand new Chevy Camaro Z/28 and a well known heavyweight, the Nissan GT-R. But not just any GT-R, the 2014 Track Edition which packs a 545 hp twin-turbo V-6, a 6-speed dual clutch transmission, sticky Dunlop tires and AWD traction into a car without rear seats. The Z/28, by way of contrast, features a massive 7.0-liter naturally-aspirated V-8, a 6-speed manual transmission, and tail-out RWD. While it does still have rear seats, nearly every other non-essential component has been removed. Moreover, the Z28's tires might be even stickier! The front ones, enormous 305-sections, are certainly the widest tires ever bolted to a production car. Both cars are phenomenal, and both cars make rational men scream, "Gimme!" But only one can come out on top. Watch and find out!
