Offered for sale are grote trilliant series mounted spotlights originally intended for mounting on the turrets of MRAPS and similar armored vehicles. The lights feature the grote trilliant series light head with integrated switch mounted on a standoff pedestal designed to sit on a 7/8\" pin. With the pedestal, the light has both traverse and elevation capability.
The grote trilliant LED heads are high efficiency, low power draw (~1.9 amps), fully sealed, and waterproof lights with an integrated heat sink and an outer replaceable \"sacrificial\" lens (the sacrificial lens permits easy replacement without any damage to the light itself should the lens get scratched, impacted, etc.).
The lights are designed for continuous long term operation.
The service life of these LED\'s is in excess of 50,000 hours.
The lights are 24 volt operation but can be setup to run on 12 volts easily through the use ofa small dc-dc step-up converter available online for about 20 dollars.
The lights can be thought of as \"sun on a stick\" with their brightness and the field of illumination. In spot configuration, they can illuminate objects over a mile away.
These lights can be fitted with several different model diffuser lenses based on the intended use (these lenses are available direct from grote for less than 10 dollars each)-- the lenses would be fitted in place of the outer sacrificial lens.
