This will fit mark 1 shifter bushing located in the bracket on the rack from 1981 to 1993 Volkswagen Rabbit truck, Rabbit diesel, Rabbit Gti 81-84, 81-84 Jetta gli, 82-88 Scirocco 16V and Cabriolet 81-93. This custom made bushing will remove ALL of the play in the shift rod at the rack. The black Delrin part is one piece. No more side movement. Not available anywhere else, custom made. Check yours, if you can move the shift rod up and down you have SLOP. Is it hard to get 1st gear or 5th? The new oem bushing only comes in the bracket that sells for $67 at VW. Bracket is for display purposes and is not for sale. Yes you will have to drill the rivets to install the bushing into your old bracket. Screw back together using stop nuts or pop-rivet the bracket back together. You are buying the black delrin bushing and the orange (or clear) bushing together as a unit.
