The batteries are NI/MH, 7.2V , 6.5Ah, 6 cell batteries Generation I Prius Batteries. The 04 - 09 batteries are Generation II Prius batteries, with improved cooling, which fit 04 and up Toyota Prius.
These batteries can be used to replace bad batteries in a 01 - 03 Prius HV battery, or they can be used for electric bikes, scooter, or electric cars.Look Guys or Gals call me I'll tell you what I know it may or may not be helpful. Most of the 01-03 HV batteries are going out at this point. Most of the batteries are 10 years old and have over 100,000 miles on them. Rechargeable batteries only last so long. Some of the 01-03 Prius also sometime have other problems, but the HV battery will always go out sooner than later. Have your transmission oil changed. Make sure they remove the pan and clean the sludge, magnet and the filter out.
All of my batteries are charged and tested on a computerized battery load analyzer. All batteries are load tested and conditioned at least 2 times in order to confirm a good quality battery. A good quality 01 -03 battery is a battery that is still holding 3 or more Ahs.
