Button replacement procedure (Do not open key shell as button fitting is done form outside of remote ! ):
1. To remove old button from outside, you simply rip out middle part of the button till switches are exposed. You may use tweezers or pointy pliers.
You do not have to remove every single piece of rubber as long as switches are well exposed. If flat piece of old rubber is still well attached to the remote, it has to be pushed gently inside the shell.
You may use blunt end of wooden skewer as in some remotes glue still holds rubber well. If not pushed in, remaining rubber may prevent button from sitting in properly. 2. Once old button is removed and room is made for new button, you press fit new button infrom outside.
** Depending on the age of your car, and its remote in particular, you may need to pend more time on removing an old buttons, as material used for it varies from very soft, easy to remove, to very hard rubber in later models. If necessary, old rubber can by warmed up with hair drier \"set to warm\" to make rubber more pliable. 3. Once button fitting is done, remote will work straight away as re-programming is not needed.
