This listing is for a brand new set of Stainless Steel​Tri-Y Headers for 1964-1970Ford Mustang 260 289 302 and Mercury Cougar. Exhaust manifolds in the 1964-1970 Ford Mustang were designed to combine the exhaust gasses from each of the cylinders quickly with a manifold that was cost effective to produce. These4-2-1Tri-Y Style off-road headers are designed to allow the exhaust gasses to flow more freely from each 4 cylinder bank and combine in a more efficient manner. Tubing has been optimized for the 260/289/302 engines. This creates a reduction in cylinder backpressure and improved exhaust gas velocity. This frees up lost horsepower and torque.

Please Note:
Will not fit GT-40P heads or AOD transmission. Manual transmission cars require additional driver\'s side header clearance around the steering box. Fits manual transmissions using 10\" or 10.5\" clutch only. 1968-up bellhousings require driver\'s side header clearance. Non-HiPo cars with manual transmission may need header clearance for clutch linkage.
