Why use extended studs?

These studs are designed to be 7mm longer than factory Honda/Acura studs to allow fitment of aftermarket exhaust manifolds (including turbo manifolds) and headers that may have a thicker than OEM flange.

On your intake side, these studs will allow for proper installation of heat shielding gaskets like Hondata, Golden Eagle, Bisimoto, and others as these gaskets are much thicker than OEM gaskets and can cause fitment issues.


These studs were designed not only to look amazing under the hood, they were designed to make installation a breeze! Unlike OEM studs, these studs feature a hex-broached tip which allows installation with nothing more than a mere Allen wrench! No special tools required!


The matching stainless steel nuts are crafted with a built in washer that have serrations on the bottom to resist loosening due to vibrations. This built in washer provides the nuts with a larger surface area for greater clamping pressure to insure a tight fit between your manifold or header and your cylinder head. Better clamping pressure insures a tight and leak free fit for years to come and extended gasket life.

Caution!!

Please do not over or under torque these studs in your cylinder head!

Most Honda & Acura studs should be torqued to 20-24 ft. lbs., same with the manifold nuts.

Please consult a shop or service manual for your engine specific specs!

Use of anti-seize, such as Permatex Nickel, prior to installation is recommended.

Re-torque studs and nuts after several heating and cooling cycles to insure a tight leak free fit.
