Greatly simplifies underhood wiring by eliminatingany factory ballast resistors, lean burn,or ECU/computer control box. Distributor installation is simplewith just2 electrical spade connections under the end of the coil cover.One wireforfull 12 volt switchedpower and the other can be used to connect an electronic tach. Nearly all partsare interchangeable with the GM HEI such ascap, rotor, coil, pickup, module, vacuum canister, etc.
INSTALLATION NOTE:
Check clearances on your particular application - the HEIlarge capis about 5.5" across. When replacing your stock pointsdistributor these may not line up with the same rotor location,you mayhave a new positionfor the#1 plug wire on the cap and have to adjust the other wires accordingly. Replace older mechanical voltage regulators to solid state (transistorized)regulators for best performance and to prevent ignition module failure.
