Also, check the block for warp to confirm it\'s flat, and the surface finish is not corroded or damaged. This ensures proper gasket sealing. Follow the correct torque specs. Follow directions enclosed in each Six Star Head Gasket package. Six Star Head Gaskets are made in the USA of Stainless Steel with the outer layers of the gasket embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a fluorocarbon-based synthetic rubber - heat resistant to 250C / 453F. The center shim layer of the gasket is comprised of an uncoated stainless steel layer. This construction meets the demands of a variety of harsh environments and offers superior key features: increased strength and load conditions, less bore distortion, superior heat and corrosion resistance.
