This is a genuine, proven short ram air intake specially developed by Injen Technology for the Toyota's rugged 1.8L four cylinder Atkinson's 2ZR-FXE family of super efficient internal combustible engines (ICE) used in the 2011 Lexus CT200h's and Toyota Prius'es. Generally this air intake is marketed as cold air intake, but because its intake resides in the engine cowl, not in the fender I did not want to mislead anyone by calling it a cold air intake; neverthless the intake is re-located to a much cooler section in the engine cowl thus enhancing performance.This short ram air intake will enhance and maximize the flow from the restrictive OEM air snorkel. The result you will get is an exhilarating acceleration that you would otherwise not expect from your anemic hybrid ICE. The air intake tube is made of 6061 Aluminum, meticulously finished to a high gloss chrome; factory tuned by Injen Technology for a vastly superior airflow leading to increased air volume which precisely matches with the 2ZR-FXE engine's air/fuel ratio for maximum performance and optimum fuel efficiency.
