SILVOLITE PISTONS
This item is for eight (8) STANDARD bore Silvolite cast aluminum, flat top pistons for 1968-1973 Chevrolet 307ci (5.0L) small block V-8 engines. P/N (8) 1438-STD. These pistons fit Chevrolet designed 307ci (5.0L) designed engines and are not interchangeable with the same displacement engines from any of the other GM divisions. These pistons are made to meet or exceed O.E. specifications.
Silvolite quality cast pistons are manufactured from cast aluminum and then machined to produce a unique diamond finish, all to exacting skirt tolerances. These OE-type pistons are heat-treated and machined for strength and durability, tighter piston-to-cylinder wall clearances, and longer piston life.
