SLP 2.5" Loudmouth I Resonators (pair)

This item is a pair (2) ofthe high flow resonators that come with SLP's famous Loudmouth I Modular kits for the Pontiac GTO, Mustang GT, and 5.7L Charger/300C/Challenger/Magnum. This is a pair of resonators only, and can be used for people who already have the modular Loudmouth II system and want the louder Loudmouth I sound, and also, they can be used for custom applications. These mufflers will not fit SLP's F-body Loudmouth Systems.

SLP PT# 31062

Get maximum flexibility from your modular SLP cat-back with these "Shotgun" race resonators. Standard equipment on many of our Loud Mouth systems, they make it possible to switch between muffled and "wide open" exhaust configurations in a matter of minutes. All resonators are constructed from hand-polished 304 stainless steel and embossed with the classic SLP logo. NOTE: Sold in pairs. May also be used in the fabrication of custom exhaust systems (4" body, 2.5" inlet, 2.5" outlet). Does not fit 3" F-Body system. Measurements:

  • 2.5" ID/OD
  • 4" body diameter
  • 18-3/16" overall length

Please verify fitment before ordering if using these for custom exhaust, or to weld on to your stock exhaust. For instance, these mufflers will weld on a stock 2005-06 GTO exhaust pretty easy, however they will not fit a stock 2004 GTO, Mustang, or LX exhaust without modifications to to the stock tubing.

Why are these called resonators?

This resonator has zero restriction or packing inside. Basically, it looks like a muffler, but is essentially a stainless steel case with no packing.
