Going through Boxes at my storageof Saleen stuff I purchased and collectedin the past from a Saleen Side Walk Sale, I came across some Large 2 3/8" Diameter Saleen Silver & Grey Emblems that are still in unused condition that I believe were used on some of the 96-98 Saleen Lemans and Alloy Wheels that covered thee Entire Saleen Center cap??This Auction is for a Set of 4 Silver & Grey Unused NOS ones as seen in the first and second posted Pictures! (Note: Auction does not include Saleen Banner used as a back drop in posted pictures number #1 & #2 as it was only used to show these items off better)
To me it appears to be very similar to the ClassicSaleen Wheel Center cap emblems that came on the 94-98 Saleen Cars with the Lemans Style wheels and or Alloy Wheels that looked like the Magnesium Speedline Wheels Saleen Offered, but these are made of some type of Plastic like flexiblematerial with an adhesive like backing anddo not have the hologram reflective look I have seen on most cars from the past andduring those times with those on their Saleen Mustangs wheels! This is very similar to the ones that came on those wheels,who knows, this item could have been a sample run of what Saleen was having produced way back when. Thisparticular item was purchased at a Saleen SideWalk saletowards the end of the year in 1996.Personally, I have used them on some of my different Saleen wheels. They are a larger diameter sized ones I have never offered and again are 2 3/8" not the smaller ones I have offered in the past that were 1 7/8". (Those Ones I am offering in another auction currently)
Wish I had more info on these, as Saleen used many vendors to produce items way back when and really are unsure as to all the details about this item from the past.
This Style Set of 4SaleenS LogoEmblem are now 18 years old and still in New Unused Condition. Again, these are approx 2 3/8" in diameter size each and are flexible with an adhesive backing. Note: This is not a flat Sticker/decal, it is emblem like. See Posted Picture #3
