[zipedit] Red Rim Guards Wheel Rim Curb Scratch Protection Strips

Listing is not for rims but for rim protectors.

Protect you rims from curb damage or cover up existing marks by using these easy to install alloy wheel protectors. Installation is easy and does not require the car to be jacked up or the tires removed. Each rim protector strip comes with strong 3m tape so installation is as easy as peel, stick, and trim. Strips are installed on the outer edge of the rim. You will receive enough for four 22 inch rims (if you need longer let us know). Rims must be completely cleaned and free from any low energy coatings or cleaners or it will not stick. Clean with a wax and grease remover anduse an alcohol cleaning solution. Currently we have these available in black, red, white, gray, chrome, and dark blue. You will recieve the color in the title unless you specify otherwise at checkout.

Instructions

Be sure to clean your rims before applying product to be sure there is no dirt or oil. If the rim is not completely clean the trim will not adhere properly. You will need to use a wax and grease remover on all four rims, followed by rubbing alcohol to remove the wax and grease remover. We also suggest using a 3M premotor before installing (2 packs included). Prepping the area is very important to a successful install. Start applying product along the rim guiding the molding around the rim. Make a small mark on the molding once you get all the way around and trim off the excess. Be sure to apply pressure while installing to be sure of a good fit. Be sure after you install the strips to double check that all the 3m tape is sticking to the rim and apply pressure to the entire strip all the way around. Please contact us if you have any questions or problems.
