COMMENT (PLEASE READ): THIS MANIFOLD IS CLOSE TO FLAWLESS! IN ADDITION TO A FEW VERY MINOR BRUISES ON IT, THERE WAS A SMALL HOLE IN THE HEAT CHAMBER. IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED AND IS VIRTUALLY INVISIBLE.  THE LAST PICTURE DOWN BELOW SHOW IT AND I HAD TO PLAY WITH LIGHTING TO GET IT TO SHOW AT ALL.  AS YOU CAN SEE IN THEM, IT FACES THE BOTTOM AND WILL NEVER BE VISIBLE WHEN THE MANIFOLD IS MOUNTED. EVERY THREAD ON THIS MANIFOLD HAS BEEN CHASED AND CHECKED AND ALL ARE FLAWLESS

If you\'ve been looking for an exotic dual 2x1 intake manifold for your Studebaker flathead 6, you just found it. It\'s a very rare Edmunds that probably dates back to about 1951 to 1952. It fits Champion sixes with 170, and I believe also 185 cubic inch engines. It\'s from the period when the Edmunds logo had just changed to \"Edmunds Custom.\"

When I found this intake, it was in fairly good condition. There were a few minor bruises on it. It was then polished by my polisher. He is 86 years old and was to apprenticed into the polishing trade at the age of 16.  He\'s not some kid learning how to polish on a Harbor Freight Chinese buffer in his garage on your dime.  His work is well worth everything I pay him. He knows everything there is to know about polishing.. This manifold looks nearly like new. After that all the threads were chased and checked and all were found to be in excellent condition.  This intake is in pretty much the condition it was in when it left the Edmunds shop, although the polish job is probably a bit nicer.  As is typical of Edmunds manifold, there is some porosity.

For the numbers guys, the runner exits are 1 3/16” and are about 7” center to center apart. The carb openings are 1 3/8”, and the bolt pattern is 2 11/16” center to center.  Boxed it weighs 6 pounds.  It is currently located in California, 8003 miles east of New Delhi, India.  Enough numbers?

Eddie Edmunds was a very unique manufacturer of speed equipment in that his target buyer was the average man on the street who might want a little more power in his family sedan. He also loved dealing with movie stars. Hot Rodders weren\'t his main target. He manufactured manifolds, flatheads, and valve covers for more different cars than anyone before or after. If you had a Studebaker or Hudson six, he had a high compression head and dual manifold for you. His 1952 catalog listed 55 different manifolds for 19 makes of cars. That same year, he was also producing 37 different aluminum high compression heads for 17 makes of cars. He had pattern makers working for him who produced many different manifold designs for the same application. If that doesn\'t make it hard enough for collectors, his wife was a graphic artist who was constantly redesigning the Edmunds logo. Eddie Edmunds, Edmunds, Edmunds Custom, and Edmunds Racing, were some of the more common ones. Some were lettered in script, and some block lettered. With the exception of the Ford Flathead V8 and Chevy 6 intakes, all of his manifolds are rare to unbelievably rare. It wouldn\'t surprise me in the least if there were well over 500 visibly different Edmunds parts that were produced. Virtually every part he made was polished.

This rare manifold will really set your ride apart wherever you go.

After 2077 feedbacks in 10 years on over 3,000 sales, I received my very first and only negative over a year ago. The buyer bought the wrong part and invented reasons for return. No matter! I sent him a free return label. He threw the manifold loose in the box with no cushioning or bubble wrap protecting it. The box was bumped and the part was damaged beyond repair. Now he wants a refund after destroying a perfectly good part. Read all my other feedback and see what well over 2000 others have said about my quality and packing. It\'s almost impossible to sell tons of used and antique speed parts without a negative, but up until him, I did it. With 3,000 happy buyers and only one who doesn\'t like what he received, there\'s not much question over who has the problem! I believe all the rest of my feedback proves what kind of seller I am. I don’t lie about the parts I sell, and I get them shipped to you fast (Usually the same, or next day.). I give you more big pictures of what you’re buying than any other seller on eBay. They’re taken from every angle. Nothing is hidden.
