The Slayer's incredible value is made possible by QFT's new CNC
machining centers and the unique design that utilizes a secondary
metering plate with changeable jets, eliminating the costly secondary
metering block unneeded for most street/strip cars. The majority of fine
tuning on a street carburetor is done on the primary side, and the
Slayer™ provides all of the popular options: changeable idle air and
high-speed air bleeds, 3-stage emulsion circuits, changeable primary
idle feed restrictions and power valve restrictions. A real welcomed
feature is the QFT QuickSet adjustment on the vacuum secondary diaphragm
that provides a quick external twist adjustment without changing
springs. Secondary metering can be altered with changeable main jets and
the secondary float is also notched for jet extensions.
Screw In Air Bleeds
All Quick Fuel Technology carburetors come with changeable air bleeds. This allows you to calibrate your air fuel ratio for more performance and or fuel economy. Most carburetors on the market have fixed sizes that would require drilling or replacing press in bleeds - all of our carburetors can be tuned by simply exchanging one size for another with a standard screwdriver.
Quick Fuel Technology is the only carburetor manufacturer that utilizes changeable air bleeds in ALL carburetor models.
Aluminum Fuel Bowls
In racing, every pound counts, and the aluminum fuel bowls from Quick Fuel Technology save a 1/2 pound over traditional zinc units. Marine-grade aluminum construction resists corrosion, the bright tumbled finish and clear chromate coating add flash and protection to your fuel system.
Metering Blocks
CNC machined metering blocks provide more precise fuel metering and control, improved throttle response and a uniform fuel performance curve. Machined from premium billet aluminum to the strictest tolerances and then anodized for protection and good looks, these blocks are the standard by which performance carburetors are measured.
QFT metering blocks, depending on the kit, come with 3, 4, or 5 stage emulsion circuits. We have several styles and applications to choose from - whether it is street or race duty we have something for your carburetor and fuel type.
Aluminum High-Flow Main Body
The light-weight aluminum main body is the basis for ALL Quick Fuel Technology carburetors. Precision vacuum-drawn die castings help minimize any chance for porosity in the casting. Critical casting dimensions can be maintained to much closer tolerances. The larger CFM sizes are precision machined in a second hard tool operation to exacting specifications, this provides "real world" venturi / throttle bore combinations that provide both maximum air flow and high-RPM performance. Scalloped, symmetrical throttle bore openings provide minimal restriction to air flow and increase the RPM operating range. Whether it's on the street, trail, or race track every carburetor benefits from this technology
Fuel Bowl Sight Glass
All Quick Fuel Technology carburetors and aluminum fuel bowls kits include QuickSet sight glass windows
tohelp accurately and safely set fuel level settings.
Electric Choke
fully adjustable electric choke. Simple one wire hookup combined with easy adjustability make for a trouble free choke setup.
Four Door-Power Valves
The standard by which all other power valves are measured QFT® exclusive in-house design has become the power valve of preference by professional race teams in virtually every circuit where carburetors are used. Not only does the FOUR DOOR™ power valve have a much greater flow capacity (vital for alcohol applications), but a quicker response rate and tighter limit bands allow engine builders to precisely tune the power enrichment phase of their calibration. Each FOUR DOOR™ power valve is hand tested and set to the stamped value. The thicker molded diaphragm adds increased protection against backfire induced rupture and corrosive fuels (such as alcohol / E85) No one offers a broader selection of opening values than QFT®. This power valve design is covered by patent B 65204BBB1.
Non-Stick Gaskets
All QFT carburetors are assembled with non-stick gaskets. These gaskets are a better seal than competitor gaskets and make assembly easier along with servicing. All QFT rebuild kits are furnished with non-stick gaskets.
QFT Premium Floats
Quick Fuel Technology offers an assortment of carburetor floats. The floats range from brass, Nitrophyl®, and other proprietary materials that are resistant to todays modern fuels (Oxygenated Race Fuel, E85, and Methanol). We offer precision crafted and balanced floats for all types of applications, including: drag rading, circle track, street driving and marine.
PCV Port
Carburetors have aPollution Control Valve (PCV) port mounted in the throttle plate, drawing equal vacuum from two venturi's, not just one - perfect for street driven machines that need a PCV or power brake vacuum hook-up
Dual Vacuum Ports
Dual Vacuum ports:found on all Hot Rod, Street Series, and select Q-Series Carburetors. The outside one (closest to the mounting stud hole) is for full manifold vacuum, and theinside is for ported spark advance signal.
