TheAftermarket Radio Wire Harnesswill save you time and aggravation. Forinstallation simply unplug your factory radio from the harness in the dash. Onthe aftermarket radio wire this in by matching up the colors. Our harness meetsEIA color codes to take out the guess work. Then simply plug the aftermarketradio back in to the factory plug in the vehicle. No cut wires, if you sellyour vehicle simply unplug the aftermarket radio andre-plugin thefactory radio.
Kit also includes Bose Amp harness (allowsyou to tie into factory wiring without cut or splicing), which allows youdirect access to car speaker lines. This harness can be used in two differentways.
-The first way is the recommended andeasiest way; add a six channel aftermarket amplifier (such as a JL audio amp)that supports low impedance speakers. To accomplish this you will have run RCAcables from the new aftermarket head unit to the current Bose amplifierlocation. You will also need an amp power kit to power the aftermarketamp.
-The second way is to bypass the Bose amplifier by runningspeaker wires from the aftermarket head unit to Bose Amp harness. Theaftermarket head unit must be able to support low impedance speakers or youwill have to replace all factory speakers with aftermarket speakers.
Theantenna adapter is used toadapt the factory antenna end to the standardMotorola male end need to plug in to your new aftermarket radio. This plug maynot work if you have installed an aftermarket antenna, as most of those do notrequire adaptation.
The BoseBypass Harness comes pre-labeled but professional installation is recommendedfor those wanting to bypass theiramplifiers.
