TheseDanskbypass pipes are becoming difficult to find.This is a brand new one, not used or old stock like what many other companies are selling.
When I had my 964 C4, this was by far my favorite and least expensive performanceupgrades! I installed one of these pipes and it took me about 45 minutes, including the jacking of the car and clean up.I also reused my muffler pipe connector rings/donuts.
At low to mid RPM\'s the exhaust tone changed to a deeper rich \"baritone\" sound and at the upper RPM\'s it sounded the stock exhaust. I could enjoy the stereo and carry on conversations like it wasn\'t eventhere. The other benefit was that of a noticable power increase and another 2 MPG\'swith localdriving and 3 MPGwith rural highway excursions.

DIY: Do It Yourself. This phrase/term is self explanatory. Many of the parts we provide can be installed by any one with minimal mechanical or technical experience. Some parts can be installed by hand, common hand tools or if its more unique the some specialized tools may be required.

IIFM: Install It For Me. This is where you bring the auto parts you buy yourself and take it to a repair shop for them to install. Many professional repair facilities tend to shy away from this practice for a variety of reasons.
Most auto-repair shops do not want you to bring your parts in, and have them do the labor. The reason is that they buy the parts at wholesale, and sell them at retail. The sale of the partsduring the serviceadds to their profit margin. There are also warranty and/or fitment issues. Many repair shops want to buy and install the parts themselves so they can be assured of exact fit. If in the event that a part fails, then they can take care of the warranty exchange themselves with their supplier. This saves them and you on time and additional labor.
Two other things about IIFMwe see more and more frequently; Oneis that repair shops will often agree to use your parts, but they will sometimes ad an extra hour or two of flat rate to compensate for the loss of the parts revenue. The other thing we see is the shops will agree to use your parts and then claim the parts will not fit and/or install them improperly. They do this and tell you the part is ether wrong or defective. They then tell you they can get the right parts and install them for you.Theyalso tell you thatthey don\'t want to keep your car in their service bay waiting for you to get the right parts. So they get the parts they want to use and install them. Then they then obviously charge you for the added retail cost of the part.
Now bear in mind that there may be occasions where you have a particular year, make and model car, and the part you ordered is actually for a newer or older model. If this happens then it will be more cost effective for you to have the shop install the correct parts they can get.
