I have for sale a set of five (5) gorgeous American Racing Le Mans all aluminum mag-style wheels. These are authentic and stamped on the inset of the back of the wheels with America Racing in cursive script. Four of the wheels are polished to a beautiful shine but not a chromed look at all. The natural patina of the metal is softlymirror-like and not flashy. The insets are painted black and each wheel bears a Porsche Centercap, not the stick-ons I have seen but an actual painted and clipped piece. There is a fifth unfinished/unpainted wheel with no centercap which would be great for a spare. All the wheels are in excellent shape and integrity. There is some aging on the finish but no pitting or flaking. The gray density on wheel backs is simply some road build up and "raw" metal, appears to have been coated before the fronts were done. I have hand-polished two of them with lots of elbow grease and gotten great results. If done by machine then one would have to be an expert as these are aluminum. They were mounted to a 1973 Porsche 914 and would also fit on the VW Beetle in this 4x130 bolt pattern. They require either a flat-seat mag-type wheel bolt or a stud kit to mount. I have sold my 914 last year and no longer have those items.
Measurements on rim width are 6" essentially, but lip to lip. Actual size probably closer to 5.5. These have always been listed spec as 15x6 however, so 5.5 to 6 isthe right rangedepending on where you read the tape on the wheel rim. I had mounted 185/15's on these wheels on a 1973 914 with no issues, probably could have even gone to 195's. Some people even have put 205's on these wheels but I would question a safe clearance in the rear wheel wells. Each 914 is different by a little, which makes a lot when it comes to tire sizes above 185's in my experience.
These wheels look great and bring a vintage flair to a 914 that is unique, very rarely seen on 914's in my experience. It truly makes an elegant addition to a silver or black colored vehicle.
