What is the OBD2 device and how it works?In short: this is a device that contains a Microchip\'s chipwith built-in flash memory. This memory contains a three-dimensionaltable of values, called the ignition map. Please read the entire manual before installation.This guide presents the installation procedure of ProRacingX OBD2 device.In the automatic transmission this increase results in quicker change / reduction of gear, whereby the car much better accelerates, which is important eg. when overtaking.
Step 1.Please make sure your car is off
and all electrical components are in the OFF position.Make sure the ignition is in the OFF positionand any device such as car radio,navigation, air conditioning, interior lighting, etc.is not turned on.
Connect the black 9-pin plug connector into the appliance.The kit among the device contains also the connection cord.Plug the cord into the appliance with a relevant plug (D-Sub).
Step 3.Use screws to secure the plug connection with the device.The plug at included cord is equipped withtwo mounting screws. Use them to attach it to the device.This will secure the connection and prevent accidental disconnectionduring operation.
Step 4.Locate your car\'s OBD2 port.The OBD2 diagnostic port can be usually find at the driver\'s side, under the steering wheel column.If you have any difficulty with finding of the connector, please use \'OBD locations\' diagrams placed further in this manual.
Step 5.Connect the device\'s OBD2 (16-pin) connector to the diagnostic port in the car.LEDs on the device should glow. This means that the chip is properly connected.
Step 6.Turn the key to the ON/AAC (ignition) position but do not start the engine yet!Turn the ignition, key have to be in the position before the start, lights will glow on the dashboard.Remember to not to start the engine!
Step 7.Reset the device!Locate a small hole in the top of chip casing. Use a thin objectto press the reset button located on the circuit board underneath.Press and hold reset for 3 seconds.
Step 8.Start the engine and begin riding with the device!From that moment the device starts to adjust to the parametersin the car. This stage can last from 100 to 150 km (depending on the vehicle).There\'s no need to drive over this distance at once (in one section).After the device will adjusts to the vehicle, the difference in performance should be felt instantly.

- Locations #1-3 represent preferable locations, Locations #4-8 represent allowable locations.
- Connectors in location # 6, #6/7, and #7 may be covered by ashtrays, covers, cup holders, coin holders, etc.
Please use this option if the device improperly tune the parameters (no noticeable differencein the power / torque increase) or if you want to connect Box to another vehicle.Please note that the chip is programmed to one type of fuel.Connecting the device to the vehicle powered by other type of fuel than intended may damage the chip box!

IMPORTANT NOTICE!Before installing the module, please make sure that the OBD2 connector in the vehicle is not damaged and free from any contamination or moisture.The device is designed exclusively for typically cars (operating on 12V DC instalation)!Chip does not fit trucks and tractors.Be sure to perform the first installation of the device when it is expected routeat least 50 kilometers. During this time device will be in the adaptation phase, which will allow for a better fit to the car.Make sure that your car and all its components are in very good condition.Before connecting the device, we recommend replacement of filters and oils.After unplugging the device the car\'s ECU will return to its factory settings.

A: No. There is no danger for the discharging the battery. Diodes that are in the device consumes minimum current.
