This auction is for a brand new Stage 3 performance hydraulic cam from Elgin Industries that is made in the USA.

This cam fits the following V8 engines used in Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury passenger cars and trucks.
- 351 CID (5.8L) 1970-1974 Cleveland
- 351 CID (5.8L) 1975-1982 Modified
- 400 CID (6.6L) 1971-1982
Stage 3 Cam Features:
Elgin Stage 3 cams are designed for mild street performance and mild bracket racing use. Not recommended for towing applications and a modified chip may be needed for computer controlled cars. Intake vacuum loss of 3-6 in. is to be expected but should still run all power brakes and accessories normally.
They will have a fair idle quality with some lope and good midrange torque and response in the 2400-3200 RPM range and good operating power in the 2000-4800 RPM range. Works best with stock or slightly modified engines with compression ratio of 10.3-1 or less. Headers, dual exhaust, and 4 barrel carburetor recommended. Can use manual or automatic transmission with stock convertor. Axle ratio of 3.70-1 or higher is best.
Recommended valve spring pressure 110 lbs. for valve on seat and 280 lbs. for valve open.
