There are different names called for this air mass sensor; air flow meter, air mass meter, or air flow sensor. An air mass sensor is an electronic device that meters the amount of air being drawn into your engine. This information is sent to the engines control module that controls a lot of the functions of your engine.

This new improved sensor contained 7 resistances made by platinum and 12 pcs. of platinum thread which makes the senor more sensitive and reliable.Most other sensors may have only 1 resistance and only 2 threads.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR ?
BEFORE BUYING THE MAF SENSOR, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU CHECK THE OEM PART NUMBER OF YOUR VEHICLE´S MAF SENSOR. FOR THAT, YOU NEED TO OPEN THE HOOD AND LOCATE THE SENSOR; USUALLY IS NEAR THE AIR FILTER OR BOLTED TO THE AIR FILTER HOUSING. SOME
SENSORS HAVE A LABEL WITH THE PART NUMBER.

THE MAF PART NUMBER IS EMBOSSED ON SAME MAF HOUSING, NOT IN THE SENSOR. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REMOVE THE SENSOR FROM THE HOUSING. PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME VEHICLES MAY USE UP TO 3 DIFFERENT PART NUMBERS. THAT MEANS THAT THE COMPATIBILITY TABLE IS NOT 100% ACURATE.
