The accumulator and orifice tube or the receiver-drier and expansion valve must be replaced at the time of installation. Some vehicles are equipped with a liquid line with built-in orifice tube. If your vehicle is equipped with this type of liquid line, the complete line must be replaced. Proof of purchase is required for all the above parts.2). The entire A/C System (condenser, evaporator, and hoses) must be completely vacuumed and flushed with approved flush prior to installation of the compressor. When a part fails (especially the compressor), sludge, debris and possibly metal shavings may be present in the system.Failure toflush the system will introduce the debris into your new parts and shortenthe life of the parts dramatically. Failure to have your system flushed will void your compressor warranty. If your vehicle has rear A/C, it will have two expansion valves and two evaporators.Note: If your vehicle uses a parallel flow type condenser, it\'s impossible to properly clean and must be replaced.
Warning: Air is not an effective or acceptable method for cleaning the A/C System. Closed loop cleaning using refrigerant or liquid cleaning with a cleaning agent are acceptable.3). After everything is installed and before you turn the system on: Using a spanner wrench, rotate the compressor clutch 10 to 15 times. This will distribute the lubricants in the system. If this step is not taken, it may cause permanent failure.Note: Do not touch the clutch nut. This will change the air gap and cause compressor failure.4). Evacuate the system to 29.5 in/Hg for at least 45 minutes. If the temperature is over 80 degrees or the vehicles is equipped with a dual zone system, we recommend evacuating for at least an hour.Only R-12 & R-134a compatible lubricants and refrigerants can be used.Failure to follow the above, will destroy your AC system.Questions?
