In the middle of production, they changed to a 7/8\" Diameter link (we also have the 7/8\" link available herein our Ebay store). Since these 13/16\" links were made on a smaller percentage of the cars, they have become almost impossible to find over the years. Another issue has become that when you ask the parts store for a drag link for a 64 Chevelle, Cutlass, etc, they will probably give you the 7/8\" link, when you might actually need the 13/16\". While the diameter of these links is how GM designated between the 2, that isn\'t really the characteristic that determines if they will fit or not. The 13/16\" link has 7/16\"-20 thread tapered studs, while the 7/8\" link has 1/2\"-20 thread tapered studs. Because these studs are different sizes, you have to make sure that you know which link you need, so they will correctly fit your pitman arm and idler arm***
