The keys have a black hard plastic head, engraved is the Jeep logo on one side, the other side is smooth. These keys have no built-in transponder or computer chip in them, they don\'t require any programming. All you need to do is have them cut at a local hardware store or locksmith for about $1-2.
If your vehicle is equipped with the transponder key option (a buyer\'s option on most vehicles), than these will only unlock doors, glovebox and trunk, they will not start the vehicle. Ever locked yourself out of the car? This is the perfect key to hide in a magnetic key box under the bumper.
