I am clearing out the sheds and garages so please check out my other items for sale.
Here is the highly sought after A-Body 8.75" rear end housing with small bolt pattern (5x4")axles (original Timken bearings) and 10"x1.75" backing plates/hardware. What you see in the pictures is what is included in the sale.
Lenght of housing is 52 5/8" measured overall outstide of tube flange ends however, the perches were relocated and are no longer the standard center width of 43". The new center/center is 35 7/8"+/-, center to ouside of flanges is 7 3/8"+/-. I did not do this relocation but was most likely done to go racing. A new set of perches are readily available at many aftermarket vendors like Mancini Racing for about $15/pr should you return back to stock locations.
This rear will fit any A-Body car from 1967-1976 and if you are contemplating a 7.25" rear end swap with this rear, you will need new shock mouting plates (see my other sale listings)and u-bolts.
Please also be advised that the small bolt pattern was used in all A-Bodies from 1967-1972 and from 1973-1976 for four wheel drum brake cars. Most A-Body cars were upgraded with disk brakes from 1973-1976 and if your car has this, then you have the big bolt pattern (5x4.5"). As always, A-Body cars never came with 8.75" rears with the big bolt pattern but if you desire the upgrade, there are many aftermarket manufactures that make the BBP axles for the A-Bodies.
I will box and ship this at your cost, UPS Ground. Cost of shipping will be flat feeand is only for lower 48 of U.S.mainland. MD State tax of 6% will be added, sorry, they need their cut.
Ask all questions prior to offerding, please.
Thanx for looking and please take a few moments to reivew our other sales.
