Illuminated sills run on 12V DC, the best connection on Mercedes sedans is to wire each sill up at the nearest door pin switch or the nearest footwell lamp. That way the sills are only illuminated when a door is opened. Mercedes has soft trim that runs around the perimeter of each door opening, pulling this trim up allows easy access to run the wiring under the carpet. Each door sill has a very small current draw of 500 milliamps, so you can easily install these without issues. Each sill is self-contained, no separate transformers needed.
These sills come with double-sided 3M automotive tape pre-installed on each sill. Wiring also included.
