This is a new old STOCK long block. It has some minor damage and defects.
Rusty backplate, missing clip and gasket on the distributor and a damaged wire. SEE PICTURES PLEASE.
It has never been used or installed. Still attached to the factory shipping mounts. Just suffered some damage in storage.

There is an area of rust where a couple bags of desiccant (moisture wick) were touching and a spot on the sheet metal face plate rusted. This was in storage for about 30 years wrapped in a big plastic bag.

The engine / flywheel turn freely, the rest of the unit is perfect, still factory oil in the crankcase.

It has been in storage at an Onan parts house for years now. I am not sure of the manufacture date ( 1990\'s). As you can see it is still in the original factory crate. It is considered a Long Block. This engine was used in the Onan 6500, 8000 KW AND 9000 KW MME Marine GenSet spec A-C according to a parts manual that I bought from Onan-Indiana. ONAN P/N 100-2238 MODEL 2G25 This is not a complete engine. NO CARBURETOR .NO GOVERNOR. NO OIL PRESSURE SENDER. NO TEMP SENDER, NO STARTER and maybe other parts that I am not sure about. I was able to get a little information from an Onan parts guy at Onan-Indiana. I was told that all of the parts needed to make this a complete engine are still available through Onan. Other info that applies to this engine that I found is that it also fits the Mitsubishi VULCAN MINICAB 800, years 1984- ?796CC.
