What is it? - A transmitter that operates your vehicle’s RKE (Remote Keyless Entry) system.
Safety and convenience - Unlock, lock or locate your car from a distance (some remotes may have additional features).
Quality - A genuine, factory OEM remote. OEM = Original Equipment Manufacture, which means it’s made by the same company that built your vehicle. Not a cheap imitation or “look alike”.

This ‘Smartkey’, key and remote combo, needs to be cut and programmed by your car dealer or a qualified locksmith. Many dealerships do this as a courtesy, if yours does not, then local locksmiths usually charge less to remain competitive.
IMPORTANT NOTE -
This is a “Virginized” key, meaning a previously-used key has gone through a special process to restore the electronics of the key to its original settings.
We have a long list of happy Mercedes customers who use these keys. Still, some Mercedes dealers not yet familiar with customers bringing in their own keys, and may question their ability to be successful.
This key is guaranteed to work if programmed by a Mercedes dealer using their normal procedures.
The solution is simple: If they question you, simply request the dealer program this key using the same procedure they would for a new key.
