The Bridco adapter has a nice low center balance causing less stress on the hitch and the adapter and is solid steel Kingpin multi-pass hydrogen welded to a hardened steel 25000# 2 5/16 hitch ball and painted with an enamel black rust resistant paint. These adapters are hard to find, and certainly make your trucks hitch more useful allowing you to pull goose neck type trailers with a semi-tractor or other truck with a fifth wheel plate. You will love this handy adapter. The Kingpin is rated for 80,000# , typical for semi-tractor fifth wheel plates. Load rated for 25000 lbs max. The Seller assumes no liability for the use of this item. Included with our adapter is a compensation plate to reduce the play between the fifth wheel plate and the bolster plate on the adapter if needed.
Consider before purchasing:You may need to lock or block your fifth wheel plate to keep it from tilting.The main post of your goose neck trailer may have to be adjusted to allow the trailer to ride level.Some pick up truck fifth wheels swivel 360 deg and may not be block or lockable and this adapter will not work with these.Some pick up truck fifth wheel heights are too tall by the time the adapter adds 4.5 - 5\" to the height and if there isn\'t enough adjustment on the trailer bolster post will not allow the trailer to ride level which is not recommended. The USPS flat rate medium box shipping says 2 - 3 days on E bays listing but at the but in actuality this is not guaranteed and it can take 5 days or more.
