BEWARE: Before you buy from someone else, compare what you are getting. Others harness sellers are using all green wires of the same gauge wire, not me. I use the correct colors and gauge so you get a better quality part. My harness colors match the factory colors making it much easier to connect to your factory wiring. RED TO RED, BLACK TO BLACK AND YELLOW TO BLACK W/ YELLOW STRIPE.

This auction is for a Harness Kit to replace your damaged/melted Blower Motor Resistor connector.

  • If you have a 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 or 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Auto Temperature Control (ATC) and your HVAC blower motor has stopped blowing or only blows on high speed, it could be that the wiring connector that plugs into the blower motor resistor has melted and is no longer making good contact to the terminals. Take heart, there is no reason to replace the entire wiring harness. This kit contains everything you need to fix your connector and get your heat or A/C back. (This kit will not fix your problem if the blower motor resistor itself is fried, but it will save you a lot of money since you won\'t have to replace the entire harness.)
  • If your blower motor resistor is bad, chances are that the plug in harness is also melted and you will probably need to replace the harness. This is the harness kit that you need.
  • All parts are brand new, top quality parts.
  • All you have to do is cut off your old melted or corroded connector and solder this new harness and connector in place. (Crimp connectors will work, but are not recommended for permanent use.) There are only three wires, connect red to red, black to black and the factory black/yellow to our yellow. Use shrink tubing or good electrical tape to cover your connection when you are done.
  • NOTE: If your blower motor resistor is bad, you can buy a replacement from any Jeep dealer ($$) or you may get lucky and find one on Ebay. It’s a very simple do-it-yourself job to replace the resistor (two screws). The resistor and this harness can be replaced in less than 15 minutes. The resistor is located on the blower housing directly under the glove box. It’s easy to find, but you\'ll have to move the passenger seat all the way back to have room to get under there to it. Then all you need is this harness and you are ready to go. I have included a picture of my (melted) blower motor resistor to help you identify it under the dash. Resistor is not included in the auction.
  • Disclaimer - I am selling the harness only, I cannot guarantee that you have correctly installed it (soldered the wires), nor can I guarantee that you have correctly diagnosed your particular Jeep\'s problem. Therefore I will not be held liable for any damage or problems that occur due to your negligence.
