Jeep CB Antenna Mount I wanted an antenna mount for a jeep and because I happen to have a cnc plasma cutter, I decided to make my own.
The first one I created was patterned after the one TeraFlex makes, but after creating it, I didn't like it. It had too much flex in it and it had a tendency to wobble back and forth.
Anyway, I redesigned the mount so the bracket was shorter and came out at the bottom of the light. The distance from the mounting holes and the antenna mount is shorter so there's less leverage, less flex and less ability for movement.
I used 10 gauge steel for the mount, so it's plenty strong. I drilled the holes to size for standard whip antenna mounting hardware and powder coated it black. It uses the factory holes behind the taillight to mount the bracket so you don't have to drill anything. This bracket mounts on the passenger side of the Jeep.
