They allow the driver to select from six different levels of performance with the push of a button. They include programs for economy, towing, Stage 1 and Stage 2 performance, valet mode, and security.
JET6-Pack Performance Chips give GM car, truck and SUV drivers selectable programming with just the push of a button! This JET Performance programming allows the driver to easily change engine performance for any driving style, from all-out performance to gas-saving economy driving mode. The JET 6-Pack is available for most GMcars and trucksup to 1995 and features six different levels of performance: Economy, Towing, Stage 1 Performance, Stage 2 Performance, Valet mode, and a Security feature.

Six PerformanceLevels:
Stage 1 - This stage is for stock or mildly modifiedGM vehicles. Fuel and timing curves are modified using less expensive, lower octane fuels and programming is designed to burn fuel at peak efficiency, resulting in improved performance and optimal mileage. Daily drivers can use low-cost regular octane fuel for potential mileage gains,ormid-gradeand better for optimal performance gains.
Stage 2 - Designed for GM performance enthusiasts, Stage 2 features more aggressive programming to ensure the most horsepower and torque available. Fuel and timing curves are extensively modified for peak performance and drivability. This stage requires the use of 91 octane fuel, a 180 degree thermostat and free flow exhaust. It will also work well with aftermarket intake systems, mass air sensors, TBI spacers, etc.
Economy Mode - For freeway cruising or long road trips when mileage is more important than high performance. This programming optimizes fuel delivery and ignition timing to makeyour engine run as efficiently as possible, and uses 87 octane fuel to save you money on gas.
Towing Mode - Provides the extra power needed for pulling trailers or hauling heavy loads, yet allows use of cheaper regular fuel (87 octane or better recommended). Fuel and timing curves are modified to increase low-end torque and mid-range passing performance.
Valet Mode - Prevents abuse by valet parkers, teenagers, mechanics, spouses, or anyone you don\'t like driving your vehicle! Restricts fuel delivery and governs engine RPM so the vehicle can\'t be driven aggressively.
Security Mode - This built in security device protects your vehicle by shutting down all fuel to the injectors and preventing the engine from being started. It easily activates by selecting the security mode and removingyour key from 6-Pack controller.
**All mode settings are locked and cannot be changed when the key is removed from the controller.
