Bedding inyour rotors and/or pads
The first step is to make surethe disc face is clean of all oils/anti rust or any foreign matter
The secondstep is heating (not cooking) the brake rotor and pads, to transfer the padmaterial evenly, onto the rotor face. This step involves performing a series ofstops, so that the brake rotor and pad are heated steadily, to allow thetransfer of pad material onto the brake rotor friction surface. Care should betaken to not come to a complete stop, as this can lead to the transfer of padmaterial unevenly on the disc at the point where the pad comes to rest on thefriction surface.

How can Itell if my rotors are warped?
The main symptom of warped rotorsis a pulsation felt in the pedal when brakes are applied. If the vibration isfelt in the steering wheel and pedal, it’s most likely a front rotor problem,if the pulsation is in the pedal only, it is most likely the rear rotors.Either way, only a dial indicator test can show whether the rotors are actuallywarped, or it is another problem. (Max. dial .1mm)
Brake rotorsdon’t warp unless overheated. It’s very common to misdiagnose tyre orsuspension problems and attribute them to a warped brake rotor. Warping iscaused by excessive heating of the brake rotor and the resulting distortion ofthe cast iron.
Can I reusemy old brake rotors with new pads?
As long as the old rotors havebeen resurfaced to square the mating surface and remove any old pad transferfilm, there should be no major issues reusing your old rotors. Rotors must bechecked after machining to ensure they are over minimum thickness and checkedfor run-out when mounted back on the car (max .1mm).
Why are mynew brake pads producing noise?
New brake pads often produce someinitial noise which will diminish as the transfer film is built up on the rotorsurface. This is normal for most brake pads and it will go away as the surfacesproperly bed-in. Following the bed-in procedures provided by the manufacturerwill assure a smooth, even layer of transfer film on the rotor. This helps tominimise brake shudder and the possibility of warping due to uneven heating.
