Eagle LS-2 tires are the second generation of Goodyear\'s\"Luxury Sport\" Grand Touring All Season tires developed to deliver a smooth quiet ride and all-season traction, even in light snow. And while this makes them an appropriate choice for many of today\'s domestic and imported luxury sedans, Goodyear Eagle LS-2 tires are also used as Original Equipment on minivans, crossovers, sport utility vehicles and specialty pickup trucks.

Eagle LS-2 tires have a symmetric, independent tread block design featuring computer-optimized block sizes to minimize tread noise for a quiet ride. Wide circumferential channels help evacuate water from beneath the contact patch to enhance wet traction while sipes provide hundreds of biting edges for traction in light snow. The tire\'sinternal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by nylon (varies depending on size and speed requirements) for strength and high-speed durability.

These came from the factory installed on my 2015 Buick Lacrosse , and I have already had the vehicle in a few times for a balance because the "road force" is so terrible on these tires. No traction what so ever, the car can spin its tires at 30mph when you floor it, it will spin for days if you floor it off the line, wet traction is terrible also! These tires are also quite hard, luckily the Buick rides well or these would have been thrown off and a set of Michelin or Pirellis would have been installed. Do not buy!!!
Review from July 30, 2016Rating: 2.91Pure junk, was the OEM tire on the vehicle. I bought a second set because TR put them on clearance for $79/tire. That was a big mistake even at that price. We have to plan our trips around rain because it is simply too dangerous to drive on these in pooled water on the road. The vehicle literally has a mind of its own with these on. I thought it might have been a bad component in the steering, but took it to dealer and they said it was just the junk tires. A guy at a tire shop said they have a nickname for these, "good-for-a-year". Trust me, stay as far away from these as possible.
Review from July 30, 2016Rating: 4.5This tire is the textbook definition of mediocre. The 225/50R18 size was the OEM tire on my 2012 Dodge Avenger R/T, and it is in no way a good match for this vehicle. Granted, this is merely a somewhat-sporty sedan, not an actual sports car... but the steering and suspension on the R/T model was tuned to provide sharper responses. So a milquetoast T-rated Grand Touring tire, delivering a vague, squirmy steering feel, was not an appropriate choice, irrespective of whatever contracts Chrysler may have had with Goodyear. Ride comfort and impact harshness were about average, though with a commensurately average level of road noise. Dry handling was reasonably good. Wet traction, however, was decidedly subpar... and as I live in Tampa, this is rather important to me. Hydroplaning resistance was mediocre even when new, and only got worse over time. The only thing that prevented me from serious hydroplaning while driving on these tires was slowing down far more than should have been necessary, even in fairly light rain, and most especially when in a turn or a curve while it was raining. I test drove this car a few times before buying it, andif any of those test drives had been in the rain, the poor wet weather handlingof this tire may well have affected my perception of the vehicle as a whole.Regarding cold / snow / ice performance, this car has rarely left central Florida, and never in the winter, so I can\'t reasonably comment on that. After about 44,000 miles, a considerable portion of the treadlife had been used up, and I was already starting to consider what I would get to replace them. My guess is that I could possibly have hit 50,000 miles... but several days ago one of the tires developed a noticeable gash, which gradually grew larger, and made my plans to get new tires much more immediate. The replacement is a set of KumhoEcsta 4X IIs, and the difference was immediately noticeable: Better grip, better cornering, and vastly improved wet weather performance.
