Up for sale is the GEM (Generic Electronic Module), removed from a 2002 Ford Expedition. This fits 4X2 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigators from 1999 through 2002 as well as the 2002 Lincoln Blackwood, 4X2 only.All functions were working perfectly before removal from vehicle.
The GEM module controls many electrical functions including interior and exterior lighting, horn, power windows and door locks, windshield wipers as well as other electrical functions. These modules typically fail when the windshield leaks and water intrudes in to the module, causing corrosion and shorts within the module. As shown in the pictures, all of the modules I sell have been thoroughly inspected for any signs of water intrusion and none have been found.
The Ford engineering number of this unit is YL14-14B205-BA, which replaces the earlier numbers of XL14-14B205-BG or XL14-14B205-BE. Thisunitsare sold as Ford service number YL1Z-14B205-BA, which replaces the earlier service numbers of XL1Z-12B577-BA and XL1Z-14B205-BA.
