an amazing sound! Quite loud on accelaration, but drone free when
cruising. The rolled tips look great, and 3.5" fills out the valence
nicely.Installation
was straightforward, but make sure you have spare clamps new muffler
clamps are not included in that package (I cut off my stockers and
re-used). I installed on my ramps in the garage in about an hour.Highly, highly recommend these!
Afternoon
What
a glorious sound. As soon as you turn the key, you will get that thrill
every time. After the engine settles into its idle it gets reasonably
quiet. Kinda barks when you want it to. No drone at steady RPMs. You
will want to ride with your windows open and the radio off all the time.
Install takes moderate skills, tools and patience.
I
installed these myself in just over an hour using a jack and jack
stands in my driveway. Getting the stock mufflers off was the hardest
part. Once I finally got them off, I removed the hanger brackets from
the car and attached them to the new exhaust and it took maybe 15
minutes to get them on the car and lined up. All I can say is: Wow!
These things sound terrific. I took it out for a spin after the install
and turned quite a few heads. They are loud when you get on the gas and
have a nice rumble when idling. When you are cruising there is
absolutely no drone at any speed or rpm. They are a little on the pricey
side but they are well worth it.
I
spent a long time researching, listening to clips, and I could not be
happier. I wanted something louder than stock, but not obnoxious.
Something that complemented this new refined 5.0 OHC motor. Definitely
much louder than stock, but with a deep refined sound off the line, and
screams at the high end. Absolutely no drone. Very good deep pulse at
idle, and really comes to life right off the line. They can get you
noticed when you step on it, but can also be docile. You can hear your
radio or do sync commands just fine. Fit and finish are excellent,
centered right up in the rear cut outs. The chrome tips with the "Ford
Racing" logo look really cool sticking out the back. The passenger side
was a bear until I figured out to take off the forward bracket and
install it with the muffler as an assembly - made the whole job much
easier. You can't go wrong with these. American Muscle had best price a
quick/free shipping. P.S. they are made by borla for FRPP, with a
perforated straight through design surrounded by a resonating chamber -
really good design!
one
of the best exhaust systems out there. Exceptional choice for the new
coyote axle-back. The exhaust note will leave you breathless. Overall,
very satisfied with purchase!
Expensive and worth it. Sounds great at idle and awsome when you get on it.
These
things rumble!! They are quiet at cruise but when you step on it look
out! I have these with the Boss Quad exhaust and the sound is pure
heaven. Fit and finish are perfect they are on the expensive side but I
think well worth the money.
Wow,
does this exhaust sound great. I was worried ordering an exhaust over
the internet. I did a lot of research and watched alot of videos on
youtube. I decided on these axle backs and the sound is amazingNot
annoying or loud when crusing on the highway and doesn't attract
attention when you don't want it....if you know what i mean ; ) When you do get in the gas, you really get to hear what the new 5.0l sounds like when it exhales. Sounds
amazing. It defentily has some volume, i would say about middle of the
pack for loudness. the sound is refined and doens't sound cheap. The quailty of construction seems excellent and it installs within an hour.heres a video if you want to get a idea of what it sounds Feb-27-13 at 06:06:27 PST, seller added the following information:
