Hello, this listing is for the cylinder head off mypersonnel1966 Mustang coupe. I have over 30 hours in porting alone in this casting. While it is a little dirty it is completely ported on the intake and exhaust. It has been correctly modified to accept aHolley or Autolite 2 barrel carburetor. If you are looking for performance this is the single best modificationyou can do to your engine. Back to backdyno testing by Classic Inlines showed a 23 horsepower gain at the rear wheels inswitching to a 2 barrel converted head. The work done to this head is as follows:

Cleaning and Inspection:This head has been hot tanked and magnafluxed, it started out as an E0BE casting. These are the best of the production log heads as they have the largest log volume. It has no cracks or crack repair. All threaded holes have been chased, and allfreeze plugs have been replaced.

2 Barrel Conversion: The process which I modify 200 Ford heads for2V carburetors is very extensive. Fromstart to finish brazing and machining takes between 10-12 hours. The process works as follows:

· Only un-cracked, undamaged cores areused. The process starts with millingOEM carburetor pad off and enlarging the opening in the log. When the carburetor pad is milled off it iskept at the factory 3.5 degree angle. Ihave seen people mill the log flat and this will create problems once the headis installed in the car as the engine sits at an angle. The carburetor floatlevel will be off and it will be prone to flooding.

· Aftermachining a ¼ inch thick steel plate is fitted to the top of the head. Prior to brazing the head is preheated to 750degrees, all brazing is done with an oxy-aceteyne torch. Once the brazing is completed the head isslow cooled to prevent cracking or warping.

· After the head has fully cooled for 24 hoursthe steel plate is machined for the carburetor opening and surfaced. Four holes are drilled and tapped for analuminum adapter that accepts either an Autolite 2100 Carburetor or a Holley350/500cfm 2 barrel carburetor.

Porting: Once all of the machining for the 2Vconversion is done the head is ported. The new carburetor opening is smoothed and blended, all casting flashand defects are removed from both the log and runners and the valve pockets areopened up. In addition to the porting this head has had a Clifford port divider brazed into the center exhaust port.

Machine Work: The head hasbeen completely machined and treated to a professional rebuild. The work done is as follows:

· New Phosper Bronze Valve guideinserts installed.

· New JLoy hardened valve seat insertsinstalled on the exhaust side.

· Valve seats reground 3 angle 30-45-60. In addition to the three angle seat both intake and exhaust valves are back cut at a 30 degree angle.

· This head has been milled and currently has 54cc combustion chambers

Parts and Assembly: Sadly the engine rebuilding industryis flooded with cheap offshore made parts.I use only the finest quality parts available.

· SI Industries steel valves. Intake is 1.75 and exhaust is 1.50

· Pioneer Valve springs, seals andkeepers.

· K-Line valve guide inserts
