All of our rebuilt
compressors and clutches are done in house, we do not buy or sell rebuilt
compressors or clutches from anyone. The cores we purchase are from low mileage
cars and trucks. Upon arrival all cores are checked and catalogued. Clutches
are removed, compressors and clutches are chemically washed and tumbled. They
are totally disassembled and inspected. All worn parts are replaced with new or
refurbished ones. Compressors are reassembled with new seals and gaskets. They
are tested to -30psi (low side) and +200-250psi (high side) and tested at 300
psi for leakage. Compressors are charged with the correct type and amount of
factory recommended oil. Clutch pulleys, hubs and coils are cleaned and
tumbled. Hubs are cnc machine ground to factory specs. Pulleys are lathe cut,
checked and straightened for run out. Coils are heated electronically, checked
for resistance and magnetic pull. New clutch bearings installed. We have
maintained the same compressor rebuilding techniques for over forty years. We welcome

Warranty:
AIR PARTS INC. remanufactured and new compressors are warranted to be free from defects in parts and workmanship for a period of: 1 year for new and remanufactured compressors, providing proper installation requirements are met. This warranty does not apply to any product that has been altered or improperly installed. Our compressors ship filled with the correct amount and type of oil, if you tamper with oil it will void your warranty. To receive a warranty you must replace accumulator, expansion valve, and system must be properly flushed. Most systems cannot be flushed, the components parts including the condenser and evaporator have to be replaced if there is contamination in the system. Problems caused either by incorrect installation or other essential parts in the system that were not replaced as needed, will not be covered under AIR PARTS INC. warranty. AIR PARTS INC. warranty covers the compressor only. The accumulator & expansion valve are not covered due to compressor failure. This also means the warranty does not cover the other installers labor, nor do we warranty any refrigerant, compressor oil, flushing chemicals, or other supplies used during compressor installation.
Condenser Replacement:
Late model vehicles are designed with compact, high performance parallel flow condensers which have very small refrigerant passages. These small passages make it impossible for these condensers to be properly flushed. The condenser should be inspected at the inlet port (compressor discharge line) for signs of debris from a failed compressor. If any debris is present, it is highly recommended that the condenser be changed.
The majority of our compressor problems (over 99%) are caused by the installers (mechanics). Therefore it is highly recommended that you, the purchaser please contact us with any issues you might have pertaining to the compressor installation.
