This engine I think is a 1965 . Pictures show the important details.This motor is stuck from setting. Some rust in a couple exhaust ports. Was stored with headers open. I have an engine shop 3 miles from me. If buyer needs anything confirmed that may help. Buyers expense. If you need any more info just ask. Someone told me value would be somewhere between 5000 and 15000. I dont want to ship this. Pick up here in lower michigan.

I have owned this motor since late 70's.Heres the history..... It came to me with a T-bucket. This is around 1979. I put this motor in my 66 mustang that i owned since 1970. Drove to my work about 8 miles, in and out of the shop at night. Then drove it home. Next trip was to the little store/gas station to get fuel. I left in running while i gased up and paid. When i went in to pay the lady was upset and told me to get out of there quickly. Many little things on her shelves were movng around. I only had thrush header mufflers and it was very loud even at idle.
Took car home and parked it. I felt the motor was not very streetable so it sat. Short time later someone offered me 85 dollars for the 9 inch rear axle. Needed the money so I pulled axle and sold it. The car then sat for maybe 30 some years. Was stored inside most of the time. I just pulled this out of my mustang about a year ago. I have my original c motor to put in all rebuilt.

I have posted a pic of block lower pass side above oil pan. No visible vin number. Not sure if paint on block is original. No vin may be an advantage to someone who needs a k motor as there is no number to remove-clean slate.

I have the valve covers. I think i have the distributer and water pump too but not sure.

O. C5AE-6015E. And 5H7. On block

Just talked to my engine guy. He told me 6-800 to freshen this motor up. I am considering doing this and put it back in my car. Sweet memories :)

Tonight I pulled the heads and pan. 2 cylinders have some rust. I wiped the piston with a rag and the piston has carbon that cleans off. Pistons are TRW 30 over. So the are not originals. One chamber in each head has rust.

I plan to take this to the engine shop for them to give me condition. I may just have them freshen the short block. That way if i do sell the condition is solid for the buyer.
