- These Flo-tek aluminum heads are the answer to the performance enthusiast and work on the small block Fords including the later EFI series when used in conjunction with an aftermarket intake, carb, and camshaft. Aluminum heads allow for a higher compression ratio than cast heads without creating pre-ignition problems. Check your piston usage with the 58cc combustion chamber for accurate ratio computation.
- If using the heads on a 289 or 302 the upper row is 80 pounds net and the lower is 70 pounds. Torqued in stock sequence and increments. If using on the 351 with the larger bolts it is 100 pounds net torque in same sequence and increments as stock.
- The head uses 3/8 rocker studs 915-99156 and requires the use of adjustable rocker arms like our part number: 915-11772. You will need to check your push rod length to determine the correct length before ordering pushrods.
- Depending on the how much extra lift you are going to go with, you may also need different valve spring retainers that allow for more valve spring installed height
- 289 & 302 engines with 7/16” head bolts use 1012543708. 351W engine with ½” head bolts use 590HBK35100.

Summary: I rebuilt my 94 cobra with these heads and an e303 cam and they seem to flow very good.I had a hard time aligning the the roller tip to the valve, at first I thought it was rocker stud not alining with valve tip, until I noticed How much side play my rockers had and thus not staying centered on valve. the fix was too shim the trunnion on the rockers.

Checked great right out of the box Rated by Lance on April 01, 2018Summary: Worked great valves were solid with no leak by has a small amount of casting marks in the ports so an easy clean up and guide plates were nice being adjustable. On the downside the rocker studs are too short to be used with the height of the valve stems but overall very pleased with the quality

Speedway and Try-State Cylinder heads both stand behind this product. I am running them on a 302 and purchased this set for a 351 build. They don't flow as well as some of the more expensive options available but they flow way better than OEM cast iron heads. These are perfect for a street build and the price is outstanding!!
