We are selling brand new, top quality inner and outer tie rods and boots. These are the same tried and tested tie rods and boots that we use on our remanufactured racks for over 31 years. The quality and condition of your tie rod boot and the tie rod itself is critical to your rack\'s long life, performance and safe operation.
If you experience loose steering or a shudder at certain speeds (and sometimes a knocking noise), check for lateral motion in your inner tie rods. If you find that your tie rods have lateral movement or your boots have holes in them, fluid leaks and possibly serious steering failure safety issues come into play very quickly.
New top quality boots will protect your inner tie rods for years to come.

Brand new Inner Tie Rods and Boots, outer tie-rod lock-nuts and either a small tube of thread locker compound or tape and cable ties and stainless steel clamps. Please note: the picture is a generic one - the tie rods and boots that go to your specific model and year will most likely look slightly different.
Note - 2 important quick tips on rack and pinion boots: 1. After installation, a toe-in adjustment is normally done that involves twisting the inner tie rod inside the boots to adjust the toe-in angle - make sure the alignment tech straightens the boots after the set - failure to do so will shred or rip the boots on the first full turn! 2. Periodically inspect the boots for rips or holes whenever you or a tech happens to be under the car. Road debris can cause boot damage, which can cause the rack to leak! Replace the boots whenever you see damage.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND STRICT ADHERENCE TO ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT FACTORY INSTALLATION PROCEDURES (ESPECIALLY FACTORY RECOMMENDED FOOT/LBS OF TORQUE). WE ALSO STRONGLY ADVISE THE USE OF THE THREAD LOCKING COMPOUND SUPPLIED WITH THE INNER TIE RODS AND THE USE OF A CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN FOR
INSTALLING ANY STEERING RELATED COMPONENTS.
