We use modern car paint technologies like waterborne basecoat or high solids coatings from Standox (http://www.standox.com). Our painting process allows achieving top-quality finish that will last you for years not months. Advances in resin technology have enabled the Standox research and development labs to develop a clear coat that has the ability to repair itself when scratched. This means that when tiny scratches occur in the clear coat surface during automatic car washing for example, the clear coat can repair itself by “reflowing” and effectively filling in the minor gaps caused by the bristles. Due to the outstanding effects achieved by our painting process, our customer base expanded overseas to Canada, Europe, and Australia.

How does our Service work?
Local customers can stop by our shop in the San Francisco Bay Area, but if you live anywhere else, it's not a problem. When you are ready to get the tails tinted simply remove the tails put them in a box with good packing material and ship them over to us. Please don’t forget to label “FRAGILE” on the box. Please include your contact info. Once we receive the lights you will be notified that we always stay on top of our emails, so you will be notified throughout the project. TREATMENT:
The same way you treat your body paint. Coating will withstand mechanical washing, power washing, and resists polishing and scratches. Turnaround time:
It depends how complicated the project is. Custom projects might take up to 3 weeks, but if you are just tinitng taillights - it takes 2-3 days. What lights can you tint?
Since our lights are painted with automotive paint it doesn’t matter what year and model is the vehicle, we will get you a custom painted set to fit your style. LIGHT WURKZ QUALITY:
The taillights are coated with a special coating so the light signals can still be seen by other drivers. We use a special two component coating designed for this process, not a cheap spray paint solution as other people are offering. Specs followed by the coat manufacturer. Using the tail lights that you provide or set that can be purchased through us. We prepare the surface before painting to remove any wax and provide better paint durability to last for years! Is tinting my tail lights illegal?
The most important is that no matter how dark you get your tails tinted, the light still shines through and shines in the same color as if the tails were still not tinted. The tint does not change the color of the brake, turn signals or reverse lights. What we recommend to people is that if you are worried about getting pulled over, go with a light tint. Check with your local laws to see if they are legal. Please note, LightWurkz will not be responsible if you get a citation for them. LightWurkz also can not be held liable if your vehicle is involved in an accident. Our customers have their lights tinted in all different states for years and we never got any calls back or emails about warnings or citations due to the tint. Please ask as questions before you tell us how dark you want the lights to be. The light out put will depend on the year and style of your lights. If you are smoking the headlights we recommend upgrading to our XENON HID SYSTEM. If you decide to smoke your lights from Medium – Dark you will have to do this on your own risk. We try to make our coating as transparent as possible. Please Obey all Traffic Rules.Will the light show through the tinted lenses lights?
We understand the need for other drivers to be able to see your tail lights. Tinting your tail lights will minimally decrease visibility of the lights. The difference is very slight. Other drivers can still easily see your illuminated lights! The effect is much like a brake light through a window that has window tint. You might also consider purchasing bulbs with a higher watt rating. Should I smoke headlights?
We do not recommend smoking your headlights really dark. But giving your headlights smoked look will not affect light output. We recommend Projectors or H.I.D system to be installed on the vehicle to increase visibility. Why Painting vs. Vinyl Film?
Applying vinyl film is not recommended for following reasons. The film will peel off. Air bubbles will get between the lance and vinyl sheet. Clear coat will fade after a few months might start cracking if vehicle is parked on the sun most of the time and the clear coat is not strong enough to protect the surface against scratches. After a power washes the vinyl will start to peel off. Is Painting same as lance covers?
Having your tail lights smoked has many advantages over lens covers. Some lens covers require drilling holes for mounting. Others use the screw holes that are already available. Lance covers also will be noticeable when applied. Our light will look original. How do I treat my lights after modification?
The same way to treat your body paint! We recommend to wax after one month to provide your clear coat with extra protection to bring out the gloss. Power Washes and Resists Polishing. Using electric buffer-polisher will not damage the clear coat. Is there warranty if we customize headlights housings?
Yes, all the projects that we have to work on inside will be cleaned sealed and tested against leakages and condensation to guarantee problem free product. In case condensation or leakages appear, we will fix the issue ASAP with no cost to you. Will you notify me when the payment received?
