This is the black box that sits just above the radiator, under the airbox, infront of the battery tray (just depends on what car and what engine). It houses relays that supply power to the fuel pump, cooling fan(s), EEC and AC clutch. It is called an IRCM or a CCRM. They both do the same thing, but just have different names. Each CCRM has a label with a big letter. This letter identifies the box for specific applications. They are not interchangeable. If you do install a different box into your vehicle, the engine will run and the AC may work correctly, but the cooling fan and fuel pump circuits may not fully function. This unit was taken from a 1998 Ford Mustang but after searching online forums it appears to have many different applications so please verify before offerding. In black is a large "S" with the Ford part number of F8ZF-12B581-BB.For an example the following is info obtained from an AC Repair Forum: "The important parameter is the large letter on the CCRM/IRCM. Within the "J" family for example, there are very minor differences in built in time delays for the cooling fan / AC clutch engagement which really dont amount to much. To sum it up, if you have a "J", replace it with any "J"".I would still replace with a like numbered unit. This unit has not been tested. Added to the shipping cost is a $.80 charge for online Post Office confirmation. I also stock a variety of different CCRMs so please contact me with your needs.
