These are the disc brake conversion brackets you have been looking for your Jeep.... at an UNBELIEVABLE price! These are CNC plasma cut from 5/16" (or 3/8" if I have it in stock....but 5/16" is PLENTY strong) to absolute precision. These work for Jeep CJ's (CJ5, CJ7, CJ8, CJ-5, CJ-7, CJ-8, Scrambler) with the AMC Model 20 rear axle. It is up to the purchaser to verify axle type.
There are several write-ups on the internet on what type of rotors and brakes you should buy. This conversion was done using suzuki samurai rotors and 300ZX calipers, so I know it is a perfect fit for that set-up. Braking power was tremendously increased. This is my buddy's Jeep, so I'm not sure what year caliper and brackets work.
You get 4 pieces with your purchase. You get both the driver side and passenger side rotor mounts and 2 e-brake brackets. To be honest, I'm not really sure how the e-brake brackets work, but some people who have researched this mod wanted the brackets to the specifications these are made to. Don't ask me how to install them. When we did the install (photo attached) we did not even use the e-brake cable brackets. I think most applications will not need these, but again, I'm not 100% sure.
All holes are drilled out to3/8", which is the perfect size to mount the brackets to the axle flange. Depending on which brakes you go with, you may or may not have to ream out the holes in which the calipers mount to the brackets. On this conversion, it was a PERFECT fit. If you do end up reaming them out, it will only be a couple thousanths...very minimal.
