For sale is one used set of LH & RH Salad Shooter wheels.
Correct for Corvettes 1986 Base (excl. H.D. Z51)
*Works for Corvettes 1984-1985, 1987
*This style of wheel was found on 1986 models only, it features an unpainted aluminum center section. 1984-1985 models featured a Black painted center, and 1987 models featured a Gray center.
These wheels appear to be in good useable condition. They each have their own unique wear pattern, please read the description and view the photos carefully.
They are all 16x8.5, which are the correct dimensions for 1986 base model Corvettes.
None of these wheels appear to be out of round.
The valve stems in these wheels will need to be replaced prior to having tires mounted on them.
L1
- The face of this wheel shows scratches and scuffs, as well as some finish wear.
- The turbine spokes show scratches and scuffs.
- In the center cap area, the inner lip that the center cap sits on is Gray in color. This leads us to believe this originally was a 1987 wheel which had the paint removed from the center cap area to make it correct for a 1986.
- L2
- The face of this wheel shows finish loss, as well as scratches/scuffs. We recommend this wheel be refinished prior to installation.
- The outer lip also shows finish loss and oxidation. There are some scratches and scuffs but no curb rash.
- The outer lip does show a small dent, most likely from the installation of wheel weights.
- R1
- The face of this wheel is in good shape, it shows a few scratches/scuffs, but it does not show the same finish wear as the other wheels.
- The lug holes show some runs in the paint.
- The outer lip of the wheel shows no curb rash, but there are a few scratches/scuffs.
- R2
- This wheel shows some spiderweb patterns in the face, we recommend this wheel also be refinished.
- There are also some scratches/scuffs, as well as a small dent in the outer edge of one of the slots.
- The outer lip shows scratches/scuffs but there is no curb rash.
